To use the plunger the overflow drainpipe pipe should be covered first with the help of a wet cloth, this will make the suction stronger and make it harder for air to enter the pipes. Now put the plunger over the drain pipe and move it up and down continuously at an even pace. Hopefully, after doing this and once the plunger is taken away, any water should flow freely down the drain pipe as the vacuum created shifted the blockage.
You can unblock the drains through chemical drain cleaner too if a drains plunger does not work for you. The chemicals have the potential to damage your bathroom fixtures, and they are dangerous too; for this reason, they should be used only when all the above methods fail to unclog your drain.
